Installation and connection of the oven

Without an oven, it is impossible to imagine a single modern kitchen. Pies and chicken, a festive dinner or a family dinner - all this can be prepared only with its help.

When buying a new oven, as a rule, the question arises: should I entrust the installation to specialists of the service center of the store, or do it myself, with my own hands? In fact, embedding is not a very complicated operation, but it’s worth following a few rules.

Oven installation: instruction

Before purchasing a built-in electric oven, you should carefully read the instructions for it. The data provided will help determine whether a particular model is right for you and your kitchen.

Site preparation

As a rule, the manufacturer indicates such requirements for installation and operation:

  • The minimum required distance of the device relative to sources of high humidity (sink, washing machine and dishwasher);
  • Whether this technique is allowed to be built in or not, as well as the distance necessary for ventilation between the body and the walls of the niche;
  • The power of the device and the voltage requirements for the network to which the device is connected.

ATTENTION! If the new oven is installed in place of the old one, then do not forget to measure the overall size, whether it fits in a niche or under the hob.

Electricity preparation

Ovens are high-power appliances, therefore, the choice of wires and sockets should be taken seriously. The ideal option would be: to conduct a separate cable from the electricity meter so as not to overload all the wiring in the house.

IMPORTANT! When choosing a cable, you need to focus on the device passport, circuit and look for wires designed for power specified by the manufacturer. This will extend the life of both the wires and the oven itself.

The second important aspect is grounding. Neglect them categorically should not. In a private house, it is not difficult to ground the oven, and in the apartment you will have to work hard. The wire must be connected from the outlet to the metal riser of the battery, water pipe or sewer.

Accordingly, the power outlet must also be grounded.

Cabinet connection

After the place for the oven was prepared, the wiring was carried out and the socket was installed, you can proceed with the placement of the device itself. You need to free it from shipping packaging. Then, open the door and take out all the accessories, instructions and fasteners from there.

ATTENTION! Read the installation instructions specified by the manufacturer, you may need to attach or detach some parts.

After that, you can turn on the oven in the network and slide it into a permanent place.

Before starting operation, you need to warm the oven to operating temperature in order to get rid of residues of factory lubrication on the body and parts. To do this, just turn on the heat and wait for the disappearance of light haze and extraneous odors.

The appliance is now ready for use.

Precautionary measures

In order to avoid injuries when installing an electric oven, basic safety precautions should be observed:

  1. Do not turn the oven on or off from the outlet with wet hands to prevent electric shock.
  2. Do not touch hot surfaces while the appliance is in operation. As a rule, manufacturers of household appliances indicate them in the instructions and additionally mark them with warning signs.
  3. Do not leave the oven turned on unattended.
  4. Place the oven in places inaccessible to children and pets.
  5. The device must be located on an even, motionless base or securely fixed in a niche in order to avoid its fall.

By following these simple rules, you can enjoy the smooth operation of the device for many years.
