How to connect the MFP to a computer

MFP to computer via USB

When installing the equipment, you need to use the appropriate drivers:

  1. Before connecting the printer, it must be powered from the mains and, naturally, to a PC. Then you need to start the hardware driver. If the device is new, then, taking into account the instructions, you need to remove the transport tape.
  2. Then you need to turn off the printer and insert the wire into the appropriate USB connector. Then turn on the printer.
  3. The computer will see the MFP, a message will be displayed below indicating the equipment found. After that, the installation window appears, in which further actions are indicated. You will need to click "Next", before installing the software CD.
  4. Then, when the required programs have been installed, you will need to go to the "Start". After in "Printers and Faxes". In case of malfunctions, the equipment will not be displayed.
  5. If successful, check the print. Right-click on the name of the MFP and open the "Properties". Then find "Test Print", and click on this item.
  6. Drivers for the equipment can be delivered from the menu "Printers and Faxes". You will need to double-click "Add Printer." Then the setup wizard is activated and the corresponding menu appears. MFP to computer via Wi-Fi

As a rule, this equipment is connected via Wi-Fi only using a separate access point. Connecting the device via Wi-Fi is possible only using a USB cable:

  1. Before connecting the printer using Wi-Fi, first of all, you need to make the settings of the access point.
  2. Then you need to configure Wi-Fi directly on the printing equipment and then connect it to the access point. Now, the software for the MFP is downloaded to the PC and the printer that is connected to the network is detected.
  3. You need to turn on the printing device and set certain parameters. Then you need to find the next point to connect the MFP via Wi-Fi and click "YES" in the window that appears.
  4. Then the "Quick Setup" menu is selected.
  5. When the equipment finds a local network, you must specify the Wi-Fi code specified in the properties of the router.
  6. After you need to confirm the specified code. When connected to Wi-Fi, the light must light up in blue.

Connecting the printer to a PC using Wi-Fi or USB is very simple. This can help set up the print mode after moving or acquiring a new device. And you do not need to expect a specialist or spend money for his services.
